Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of circleofthewise.com: your account, the Circle of the Wise membership and the community that comes with it. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. By using the site, creating an account or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by them.
Last updated 20 October 2026.
1. Who we are
circleofthewise.com (the “Site”) is operated by Rose Ankh Publishing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company registration and registered office details are available on request) (“we”, “us”, “our”), publisher of Sharon Day's work and custodian of the Alexandrian archive, which also operates alexandrianwitchcraft.com. You can contact us at [email protected].
These terms form a contract between you and us. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
2. Definitions
- the Circle
- the Circle of the Wise, the paid membership described on the Site, comprising recorded teaching modules, live sessions, a library and community access.
- Member
- anyone with a registered account, whether or not they hold a paid membership.
- Content
- text, images, audio, video and other material made available through the Site or the Circle, whether by us or by our presenters.
- the Alexandrian Witchcraft site
- alexandrianwitchcraft.com, our sister site, with which accounts and memberships are shared (Section 3).
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to register an account or join the Circle. The Site and the tradition it teaches are adult subject matter.
One account serves both the Site and the Alexandrian Witchcraft site: the same email signs you in to either, and a membership bought on one is yours on both. Accounts are managed through our authentication provider, Supabase, and sign-in is by a code or link sent to your email; there is no password to set.
When you register, you agree to give accurate information and to keep your email account secure, since it is the key to yours here. You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, or is inactive for an extended period.
4. The membership
The Circle of the Wise is a paid subscription giving access to recorded teaching modules, live sessions with the presenters and with Sharon Day, the members’ library and the private community. Current pricing and billing periods (monthly or annual) are shown at checkout, and that displayed price governs your purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not prorate part-used periods except where required by law.
We may add, retire or update individual modules over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing content that is central to the membership offer, but the Circle is an evolving programme rather than a fixed, unchanging set of files. Dates in the published programme may move.
Where you are a UK or EU consumer buying a digital subscription, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel for a full refund from the date of purchase. Because access to modules begins immediately, by completing checkout you expressly ask us to begin supplying the membership straight away and acknowledge that you lose this cancellation right once you have started accessing paid content, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (or the equivalent in your country). Your right to cancel future renewals at any time, as described above, is unaffected.
5. Payment, billing and refunds
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; they are handled directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy notice.
- By providing payment details you authorise us, via Stripe, to take the payments described at checkout, including recurring subscription charges until you cancel.
- If a payment fails or is declined, we may suspend access until it is resolved, and will email you to let you know.
- Refunds are considered case by case and are not automatic outside the statutory cancellation right described in Section 4, or where the membership is materially not as described.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Where applicable, you are responsible for any taxes not already included in the displayed price.
6. Acceptable use
When using the Site, the Circle or our Discord community, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten or abuse other members, presenters or staff;
- record, copy, share or redistribute members’ modules, live sessions or library material outside the Circle;
- post unlawful, defamatory or infringing material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with the tradition or with us;
- attempt to bypass membership gating, security measures or access controls;
- upload material containing viruses, malware or other harmful code.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches this section, without refund.
7. The community
Members may join the members’ rooms in the Alexandrian Circle on Discord. Discord is a separate service operated by Discord Inc., governed by its own terms and privacy policy, which you should read separately.
We may revoke the members’ role, or remove you from the server, if your membership lapses or you breach these terms or the community guidelines there.
8. Intellectual property
The Site’s design, software, branding and the Content we and our presenters publish are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. A membership is a personal licence to view that Content for as long as your membership lasts; it transfers no ownership and no right to reproduce or redistribute it.
“Circle of the Wise”, “Alexandrian Witchcraft”, related marks and the Rose Ankh Publishing name may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
9. Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party services to operate, each governed by its own terms:
- Supabase
- the account database and authentication, shared with the Alexandrian Witchcraft site.
- Vercel
- website hosting.
- Stripe
- payment processing for memberships.
- YouTube and Mux
- hosting and streaming of video; a player loads from the video host only when you press play, and not before.
- Resend
- transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts).
- Klaviyo
- marketing email, where you have opted in.
- Cloudflare Turnstile
- checks that sign-in and sign-up forms are being used by a person rather than an automated script.
- Google Analytics (GA4) and the Meta Pixel
- site analytics and advertising measurement, with your consent.
- Discord
- the members’ community server.
We are not responsible for the availability, content or acts of these third parties, though we choose and monitor them with care. See our Privacy Policy for what we share with each.
10. Disclaimers
The tradition taught through the Circle is a private, lineaged initiatory practice. Nothing on the Site is an offer of initiation, membership of a coven, or a guarantee of any spiritual outcome; the Circle is an educational resource, not a substitute for lineaged training. Nothing oathbound is taught or discussed.
Content is provided for educational and community purposes. It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and you should seek appropriate professional advice for those matters.
The Site is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we take reasonable care.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Site or the Circle. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a paid membership is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
12. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where we reasonably believe it is being used unlawfully. Where we do so for reasons other than your breach, we will give reasonable notice where practical.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as we add new products or services. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date, and where a change materially affects members we will make reasonable efforts to notify them by email before it takes effect.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
